Shane Morgan is a trained ecologist and landscape designer based out of Southern Chester County, PA.

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Drexel University, Shane holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Resources Management with a concentration in Fine Arts, and a Master’s of Science in Biology. Prior to designing landscapes, she taught several undergraduate classes and was awarded Drexel’s Certificate of Excellence in College Teaching. She additionally worked as a Laboratory Instructor at Swarthmore College, and served as a C.O.R.E. (caring for our resources and environment) leader at the Brandywine Valley Association supervising adolescents on various environmental restoration projects.

Shane completed her Certificates of Merit in Ornamental Horticulture at the world-renowned Longwood Gardens. Additionally, she is a certified Permaculture Designer. The Giving Garden, established in 2004, serves the Philadelphia, PA and Wilmington, DE areas.  She is actively involved in the local community, serving as a member of the education subcommittee of a local watershed protection organization, White Clay Creek Wild and Scenic. Shane also writes and lectures on ecological and edible gardening, permaculture, and landscape design.
